The idea for Cupcake SCENEsations® started in 2009 at my kitchen table.  My grandmother was in her 90's and had come to live with me.  And as anyone who has cared for a loved one knows, it can be the hardest, but most rewarding, thing you can do in your lifetime.  It seemed only fitting that I look after her because as a child, along with my mom, my grandmother taught me everything.  We spent many weekends together baking cookies, cakes and other goodies (and, of course, she would always let me lick the beaters).  So when she came to live with me, it seemed like the perfect time to start baking again . . . and that's where our story begins.

 

When you bake for someone, that IS your gift.  It's your gift of time, love, care and attention.  So when you're finished, you should have a polished way of presenting your delicious "works of art."  Whether it's for a birthday party, office function, your kid's sports team or a thank you gift for someone special, you need an easy way to store, transport, display and serve those items.  On the other hand, what if you don't have the time or desire to bake?  You just want to pick something up at the local bakery or grocery store, but still need a stylish way of getting from point A to point B.  As I was baking, designing and packaging treats for family and friends, I realized that there HAD to be a better way.

 

That's when I started experimenting with all sorts of bakery boxes, cupcake inserts, cake boards and treat containers.  It had to be sturdy enough on all sides for stacking and so it wouldn't collapse in on itself (no one likes messy frosting because of a weak cardboard box).  It also had to be tall enough to let you decorate with cupcake or treat toppers and close the lid.  It had to do so many things and I just couldn't find that perfect box.  So I pulled out my scissors, tape and glue sticks and got to work.  And, after some long nights and numerous prototypes, I finally figured it out --- and the Cupcake SCENEsations® Treat Kit was born.

 

Our goal for Cupcake SCENEsations® products is simple . . . to make your life easier.  We hope you enjoy using our treat kits and create a few memories along the way.  We have many more designs in the works, so be sure to check back now and then to see what SCENEsational™ things we're working on!
